1st World Deaf Football Championships Patras, Greece 2008

As Chairman of the Organising Committee, I would like to welcome you all to the 1st International Football Championship of the Deaf, which is going to be hosted on July 2008 at the beautiful city of Patras, in Greece.

Maximizing participation, raising public awareness and widely promoting this event are top priorities for the Organising Committee, which is furthermore supported by the Greek General Secretarial of Sports, the International Committee of Sports of the Deaf (ICSD), the Hellenic Athletic Federation of the Deaf, the prefecture of Achaia and the municipality of Patras.

As part of the Organising Committee, I can assure you that taking part in this event will be a memorable and unique experience, which is going to be distinguished by the participation of great athletes as well as experienced energetic volunteers that will gratefully provide their services to our cause.

With all my heart, I wish the best of luck to the athletes of all participating countries.
